I think Matty White has been very serviceable this season.
Hardwick has gotten a lift from him, Kingy, Tucky, Collins and Conners. All tracking in the right direction.
He needs to spend some more time with Bling obviously

Our Best Side going forward:
B Will Thursfield - Luke McGuane - Chris Newman

HB Brett Deledio - Kelvin Moore - Daniel Connors

C Ben Nason - Dustin Martin - Matthew White

HF Andrew Collins - Jack Riewoldt - Trent Cotchin

F Robin Nahas - Mitch Morton - Alex Rance

R Angus Graham - Shane Tuck - Daniel Jackson

I Ben Cousins - Shane Edwards - Nathan Foley - Jake King.

Defence: Thursfield, Moore and McGuane provide the tall options. All 3 are lean and struggle against power forwards. Moore is probably best opposed to monsters. Connors and Deledio provide brilliant run and skill coming out & Newman is the brave leader.

Midfield: Seems a real strength now. Martin, Tuck and Jackson provide the big bodies needed against the leagues powers. Martin is the inside stud. Jackson is the best run-with player we have and Nason, Cousins, Edwards, Foley, Collins and Cotchin will rotate through.

Forwards: This is where we have a big hole at the moment. Riewoldt is doing his thing, kicking goals and taking big grabs but we have no other big forward whatsoever. Ben Griffiths and Jayden Post are just no there yet. Mitch Morton in my mind is easily in our best side and he is capable of kicking 40 goals per season. Collins, Nahas and Edwards provide some bite and White, Cotchin and Nason are goal kickers.

Rucks: People are raving about Angus Graham, I think we need an upgrade, I think he is a good second option but not the man to carry the load for 10 years. Tyrone Vickery is not where we need him and gets consistently overpowered. I think trade week will be where we need to look or the state leagues.

I really don't see the love affair going on with Edwards. Occasionally he looks great, but he never dominates and I just can't see him improving enough to be a part of a premiership. Let'st forget he's just passed the 60 game mark he should be showing a fair bit by now.

Astbury - C+ Better than i imagined he would be. Smartest young player i have seen for years and definite leadership potential.

Collins - B Never really rated him, but the last 3 games have shown class, maturity and toughness beyond his years

Connors - B+ Post suspension he has moved into our top 10 with a bullet. Will only get better.

Cotchin - B+ Ooooozes class. Still without full blown pre-season but rapidly moving towards elite. Core strength in his hips reminds me of Robert Harvey.

Cousins - B+ Started slow, but as game fitness increases we are seeing the Cuz of old emerging. Also, he looks to be total Tiger, and not their just for his own footy fix.

Dea - D Showed he has what it takes. Just hope he isnt lost to long term injury

Deledio - A+ B&F is in the bag, and AA is more than likely. I was critical of him going to the HB, but it was a masterstroke. Now he is Elite

Edwards - A - Without doubt our most improved player. Tackles, smothers, 1%ers, inside 50s and rebound 50s, he does the lot. What a gun he is turning out to be.

Farmer - B - Started quiet, but as each week comes and goes he just gets better. Tough as nails and a skillful booming kick. Exactly what the doctor ordered.

Foley - C He is a huge worry. Reminds me of Cogs. I cant help think his injury is worse than what we are lead to believe.

Graham - C+ Tough one to mark as he hasnt played much, but the games he has played he is looking more and more like a top line ruck. If he keeps this standard up, by the end of the year he will be upgraded to B+

Griffiths - D To early to accurately mark, but 2 instances of quick decision making on the weekend that shows why the club rate him so much. 1st was no hesitation going back and quickly off loading a 65m roost to Jack in the goal square (caught him also by surprise) for Jack to goal, and 2nd his solid mark and going back with no piss farting about, pulling socks u, looking around, instead just slotting it from 40 from the boundary. A great quick thinker, who appears to be very confident in his own ability. He will be the man. Should not be dropped at all for the rest of the year.

Hislop - F on the LTI, but done sweet FA prior to that.

Jackson - B+ Love him. Has his faults, but who gives a rats. Wouldnt be a team in the comp who wouldnt jump at the chance of having some one so hard and tough in their team. Dimma would have wet dreams about this one

King - C+ Vying with Edwards as our most improved, not so much for quality, but a willingness to change his style of play and become one of the leagues better offensive taggers. Will be with us next year.

Martin - B+ Read the other hundred threads:)

McGuane - B+ For mne our best Key Backman. Toughness and guts is what he puts on his cornflakes. Unfairly judged as having so called brain fades, but name a team who have a complete backline of perfect players? Lids, Newie and Dan Connors are our class back there, our Keys are their performing a different role.

Moore - B+ Pretty much the same report card and McGuane.

Morton - F Rapid fall from grace. To flashy and not prepared to do the 1%ers and tackle, apparently has him in Dimmas little black book.

Nahas - C I know he is loved by allot of Tiges, but the arrival of Nason has relegated him to the number 2 small forward. Great depth player and should survive the cull.

Nason - C+ What a ripper. A pure running machine with skills. Wouldnt be surprised to see him rotating in the mid field next year. PS, Benny if ur reading this... Dont cut the locks;)

Newman - A Sensational Captain right up their with the best in the business. Bleeds for the jumper. Turns it on when we really need it. Another in our team who will possibly be AA

Polak - F Poor Polly. No impact, but im not stressed as he is in good health.

Polo - E Has what it takes but for some reason just cant turn it on at the highest level. Hate to see him delisted just yet. I want to see if he caTime will tell, but he definetely

Post - F To hard to mark as he hasnt really been given a go. Bulked up into a mans body, so im looking forward to seeing him get the 4 or 5 games in a row that Dimma promised.

Rance - D+ Hasnt played with that great youthful free flowing courageous style since being KO`d. Finding a spot for him is our hardest part. Had some good results with some tagging early on this year. Maybe a spot on the Wing would suite him. Tough one.

Riewoldt - A See Martins report card:) Also he could be our 3rd AA.

Roberts - E Dont see a future at all with the club.

Tambling - C+ Hardness at the contest is saving his reputation at this stage. Will need a big year next year to be saved.

Taylor - D Project player who has what it takes, but at the same time could just lose interest and fade away.

Thomson - F Just passable. List clogger, depth player what ever you call them. No future.

Thursfield - B Another good key back, but for mine just short on McGuane and Moore. With Post and Gourdis apparently knocking at the door, the off season could be interesting for him (and McGuane and Moore)

Tuck - B+ What a cracker of a year he is having. Would be 2nd in the B&F now and a new contract drawn up. Clearance work has been sensational.

Vickery - C+ Fantastic prospect who just keeps on putting in. Knows his limitations with his undersized body on the seasoned bigger ones, so he makes up for it in hard contested ground contests. He is in our top 10 for contested possession and 1%ers. Knows how to get his knees dirty :) As Dimma said last week, when he is 23/24 he will be one of the games elite big men.

Webberley - C+ Looked right at home in the big league right from day one. Cant wait for him to somehow get back in and hold his spot for the rest of the year. Will be a gun.

White - B What a great improvement. Is easily in our best 22. Brilliant evasive pace, and his foot skills have sharply risen. At the moment, i get all excited when i see the pill in his hand. Sill gets caught on the odd occasion, but who dosnt.

Might rate players based on position .
Backs
deledio, Newman , Moore , thursty, mcguanne , conners , astbury, dea, polo

midfield :
cotchin, Martin, tuck, nason , Edwards ( appreciate he has only floated thru there) Jackson , Gus, cousins , vickery

Forwards :
Jack, Collins, white , bling, king( once agsin know has only floated in forward half) ,BeeGee,
put nahas, Morton, Roberts, Taylor, Robert Rance and post all in the same bucket .

No doubt I've missed someone !!

Very harsh on Edwards, les

I agree. He has been our biggest improver in my book. Andrew Jarman who coached him at North Adelaide said at the time of the draft, it was only because he was so small and would take a while to fill out that prevented him being a first round pick. Looks like he was on the ball as a 10-16 spot is looking good. He has definitely justified a 2nd round pick. He is having a ripper year.

No Vickery, so we'd play with one ruckmen? True, he is not physically ready, but there are no better options and it would be almost physically impossible to ruck an entire AFL game by yourself (Paddy Ryder aside).

Cotchin at half-forward, tell me, how many goals has he kicked this year? I can't think of one of the top of my head, has not at all been a "goal kicker" this year. Surely he, as one of our clubs leaders in clearances and contested possesions would be on the ball?

Nason is more of a half forward i believe, gets 10-15 possies a game, hardly enough to cut it on the wing. Definately not convinced with Rance yet, no way I would have him starting in the forward pocket, not an overly good mark or kick. He needs to earn his stripes at VFL level before even being considered for selection.

Nahas has gone backwards this year with one good game, and Morton? Based on current form, you surely jest? No one here doubts he has the talent, but has done absolutely nothing to warrant senior selection at the present time.

Injuries aside, I would line them up thus:

B - Newman - Thursfield - Mguane

HB - Deledio - Moore - Connors

C - Jackson - Tuck - Martin

HF - Nason - Griffiths - Edwards

F - White - Riewoldt - Collins

R - Graham - Foley - Cotchin

INTER - Cousins - Vickery - Astbury - Tambling

Reiwoldt could'nt get an A plus? Surely not!

Got mail Griffiths doesn't compete hard enough and must say I saw signs of it yesterday. Some poor missed tackles.
For a guy his size, he certainly doesn't take many marks and in fact, plays quite small. Fumbled and looked uncompetitve yesterday-surely POST is worht a go over this bloke
