Always thought Matthew Lloyd would've been perfect for us in the early 2000s when we couldn't find a goalkicking forward to save ourselves.

From today's crop, without hesitation it'd be Bontempelli. If you'd take anyone before him you're crazy.

Yeah Lloyd is a call - annoying good and good enough bloke that you'd think, yeah I'd happily cheer for him.

Saw him kick 5 from CHF for the Bays in the '86 GF. A 1.8m CHF!

Dan Menzel reminds me of him. I'd take him.

Was talking about Tony Hall today in the office - one of the guys worked with him at BUPA - he's a senior exec at GMHBA in Geelong, surfs a few times a week, doesn't talk footy at all. Apparently a tremendous bloke.

Tex maybe, but I suspect there's enough baggage from his younger years that a solid majority think he's a bit of a tool (not an opinion I share btw) - and .

- one of them even texted me at the start of the year saying how glad she was that Tex wasn't captain anymore (after seeing Talia in the Captain's Day photo) - She was unimpressed when I corrected her

Yeah, it's weird. I think the way he has handled himself since becoming captain has been exemplary. A few dumb tweets, but other than that excellent, and the way he plays is surely what you'd want - defiantly not a thug

Dan Menzel is certainly one I think all supporters like to see play well. And just from chatting with a few non-Crows friends, there's a bit of that feeling for Otten as well.

Barging in but can I please flip it and say Trent Hentschel for 2006, Jason Porplyzia for 2009 (my all time favourite Crow the Porpoise,) Eddie Betts for 2014-15 and Scott Welsh early Noughties?

Currently, Rory Atkins, Daniel Talia, Jake Lever, Brodie Smith and Rory Sloane.


Strange how the Crows have done really well from the Calder Cannons currently but other sides they recruited from no.
