Has anybody else noticed that although both Harley and Scarlo are out of form they are not being helped a by a change in the way we play. We tuned our on-ballers to be more score orienated, trying to get them to press forward to score more has meant they are not in the back half blocking it , making it easier for our backs to spoil. Add the new rule on defenders not being able to chop and Scarlo is giving up a lot more goals and having are harder time of it.
I also was thinking last night, we play like a side who's goal is to set up the set shot yet this is not our strength.We try to finesse the ball forward more often than not, looking for the lose player with a good setshot position yet we look more dangerous when we go long and quick to Playfair when he is deep. I predict as players upfield gain confidence in him,Ottens and maybe a third Power forward, yet to be found we will evolve into more of a Brisbane style and our scoring ability will increase.
