As i have recently got back from Bali, i invested in s***loads of playstation games for $1.20 each expecting that they would work on my playstation with a mod chip. All the games work, but they are in black and white. This is due to a NTSC - PAL problem. The question that i am asking is can you buy a chip (external) in Australia that will convert this. I saw an american website selling them but i would rather buy one in Australia if possible. Does anyone know of any places in NSW preferrably that sell these chips?

Thanks

yeah, you can buy them over here. i know in victoria that they actually put them into your playstation at computer expos.
i notice how sony is trying to stop it because it allows people to playoverseas games on there australian playstations, but the accc is trying to stop it because it at the moment allows freedom of choice as our games are amongst the dearest in the world, whilist americas are so much cheaper.

but anyway, have a look around,im sure youll find somewhere pretty easily:)

You dont need to buy a chip!!!

All you need is a multi-system TV, just change the mode and you should be right...

A multi system TV makes no difference cos the actual playstation console is a pal system, so the output signal from the psx is in PAL format. Anyway, thanks for your help guys and i shall keep looking....
