This happened to me. I probably could have used Quiv's advice at the time and trained myself to get used to it. I was trying to play Farpoint on the first PSVR and after about 25 minutes I broke out into a sweat then got real sick and had to lie down for a few hours. It really put me off VR and have been too afraid to give it a go ever since. This is as somebody who isn't usually susceptible to things like motion sickness yet unfortunately VR knocked me around pretty badly.
Yep, had the exact same experience a few times now. Will give Quiv's advice a go and just do it in short spurts.

But i can play drums rock for hours lol.

How does it handle the bass drum? Do the charts try to replicate real drumming or is it more a facsimile?

Recently got the new Riffmaster and have gotten back into rhythm games in a big way, even hooked up a midi kit too for some drumming - would be awesome to incorporate the real kit with VR so I can finally play in front of 50k 😅

It doesn't handle it. Just has the 5 drums to hit in front of you. It's not as fine tuned as something like the more extreme difficulties of guitar hero but it's close enough to be able to drum along to the beat rather than hyper focusing on hitting the notes at the "right time" according to the game. If that makes sense...

Fair enough - so more an arcade rhythm game rather than drumming sim. Using your hands to play a bass drum is a bit of a bummer but reliable feet tracking is probably next in the pipeline.

Hopefully with the amount of cameras they have started putting on these things my dream of 'Stadium Hero' can become a thing 😅

Having said that, I would probably completely fog up the lenses after a couple of songs and wouldn't be the most comfortable playing particularly energy intensive songs.

I'm right there with ya wanting a "stadium hero" mate.

Can't speak for other headsets as I've only use the two psvrs but the psvr1 fogged up a lot for me but nothing with the VR2. I think the VR2 has a fan blowing back at you so unsure if that helps and if other headsets have something like that.

My bad, was only referring to playing actual drums while wearing a headset - normal use I don't really have an issue.

I hits the colours the game tells me to...

Pretty substantial sale on these - bit of a risky purchase with the lack of support (I only just found out PSVR1 games aren't compatible) but assuming the PC dongle does the job seems like a good value.

I’m looking at upgrading from my PSVR 1 to a new headset: either the PSVR 2 or the Quest 3.

I’ve always just kind of endured PSVR because I wanted to experience VR without coughing up over a grand for PCVR. I tried my mates Vive many years ago and was amazed at how much better it was in terms of visual clarity and tracking (and also just feeling more like you are actually in the world, PSVR 1 felt like you were just watching a screen sometimes).

Nowadays I have a PS5 and a capable PC. Is the PSVR2 good enough to be the one I choose out of the two? Maybe I am just scarred from the relatively crappy PSVR 1 experience but I was leaning towards Quest 3 until the PSVR2 got that massive price cut and I found out I probably don’t have an adequate set up to wirelessly stream PCVR to the Quest anyway.

Not sure if you're aware but the PSVR2 has an official PS adapter that allows it to be used on PC also. Can get a bit of both worlds that way.

Yeah I found out about that the other day, which is why PSVR 2 is back in consideration. For a bit I was dead set on Quest 3.

Yeah my PC is several rooms from my router and there is no Ethernet in my room either.

Fair enough - if your PC specs are decent enough the Quest is certainly the more versatile machine and likely to have much better ongoing support, plus those amazing pancake lenses.

The PSVR2 is a good alternative if your circumstances make the console an easier thing to use - If you are less likely to use the Quest due to logistics, I'd recommend the cheaper option that will get more use.

Ended up getting the PSVR 2. Works perfectly on both PC and PS5. I’m not as good at dealing with smooth turning as I thought, and I have to adjust the brightness for some games otherwise I get bad eyestrain because of how damn bright the display is!

I also jumped in at the black friday price, now need to buy some new pants after an hour of Resident Evil... I'm not the best with horror games in the 2D format, not sure what I was expecting here 😅
RE4 or 8? I'm doing 8 atm and kinda had to force myself through the first 1-2 hours as there were so many cutscenes that pulled me out of it. But once I got into the castle i was shitting myself. I am always scared one of the knight armour stands is going to jump out at me in the hallways (note: they never actually do).

4. Figured I'd go for the game I'm more familiar with and less horror based to ease myself in... I genuinely don't think I could stomach Village.

Got back into playing VR recently...for the longest time I've been using the pack-in earbuds because of their convenience.

What an idiot I am. Used my old PS Gold headphones last night and the sound was amazing.

Played Village last night, towards the end of the game now. The monster den on the way to Heisenberg was hectic.

Also bought Pavlov and tried that out. Bit disappointed in the visual quality compared to RE8 (thats based off the one offline map I tried) but it was fun.

Flight sim 24 coming to ps with free ps vr patch coming later. Have been waiting for this for a while now so stoked to see it announced.

I only saw mentions of the dual sense controllers but for both vr and flat game but surely flight sticks will be supported
