Not sure his first name
Former coach shaw, who is assistent to essendon seems to we using the word "we" referring to the dockers.

LOL you think he has been approached or wat!!!

Is it Robert Shaw??

I think he used to coach Adelaide didn't he?

Realistically I cant see the board sacking Drum they don't strike me as the kind of people that would make a decision that big.
If they do they should in my view go after Stan Alves. What we really need is some one that is boss. Some one like a Pagan, Wallace, Matthews or a Barassi.

Yikes, If the Dockers go after Robert Shaw they will be making a mistake. He has had experience, but he hasn't been a proven successful coach.

Balip - I like your thinking in the Dockers future coach. A coach in the mould of Pagan or Alves is what your club seems to need from an outsiders point of view. As Brad Hardie said, why not approach either of them and see if they are interested... or is that what Hatt was doing in Melbourne last week?

Robert Shaw, coached Fitzroy from 1991-1994 and Adelaide from 1995-1996

He has a 34% win record, is basically useless as a main coach, but is the perfect assistant. Is great on the recruting side of things and can be thanked for Adelaides 2 flags, as he recruited about 70% of the premiership teams, and the players that are in their side right now (johnson, mcleod, goodwin to name a few)

Stan Alves was on radio in Melbourne last week and said there is no way known he would ever coach again.

Can you blame Alves after the way St Kilda treated him? Fremantle just have to wave the dosh around and see which coach wants a change. (Big word around Perth is that Freo want Wallace or Pagan!)

Hmmm
If Drum is going to loose his job which he looks like doin.
Then so should Hatt, he was there during the shocking and crippling neesham dynasty.
He should go before Drum

Wallace or Pagan hmmmm, yeh I'd be pretty happy to get either of those blokes as a coach. I'd have to say our chances of getting them are pretty slim - unless we throw money at them.

Don't get me wrong though, I still have a lot of time for Drummy. I just don't hold much hope for him continuing in 2002.
