Get Pure_Ownage a crash cart and someone stabilise him….:D

Or at the very least give him the day off work and a bottle of his favourite vice….

Pity he was playing very well towards the end of the year for them in the seconds.

Hope he can find a rewarding career going forward was a big part of the team for 2011 he should be very proud of his AFL journey.

Best of lucks pods
Come home to Geelong, Pods. There's room for you in our VFL side!

Pods' story is one of the best stories of perseverance in AFL that I've heard. He managed to get the very best out of himself despite so many knock backs and, in doing so, was rewarded with the ultimate prize of a footballer- a Premiership medallion.

Good onya Pods!! Best of luck with whatever you choose to do in the future. :)

He's staying in Adelaide and hoping to work with the Crows

Very good achievement to get over 100 games and premiership given how late he debuted. Well done and thank you Pods :thumbsu:

A nice write-up on the AFL site:

"The Adelaide and Geelong supporters, I can’t tell you how much they’ve embraced me and my story," Podsiadly said.
"I just want to thank them for their support, and all the people who made the decision to take a risk on me, whether it was at Geelong or here at Adelaide.
"To achieve what I have from a team perspective, I’m very grateful and thankful for.
"I’m proud of those achievements, but I’m more proud of the people that I’ve met who have helped me get here."

Adelaide head of football David Noble said Podsiadly's life experience had been invaluable during what has been the toughest season in the club's history.
Noble described the key forward as a "selfless" player who had worked wonders in developing the club's other key position prospects.
"His influence extends beyond the football field. His experience and leadership have been invaluable, particularly, in what has been a difficult season for our club," Noble said.
"James has played a really selfless role this year.
"He knew it was going to be his last season, but he’s continued to help our developing key-position players to improve even though they were potentially taking his spot in the AFL team."

The JPod was my fav player for a while. But the bloke is summed up by an interview he gave a journo at the airport on his first game back at Simonds as an Adelaide player.

Journo: Are you expecting any trouble from the Geelong crowd tomorrow?

JPod: The Geelong people have always been fantastic to me, and I don't expect any different this game.

All the best for your future.

Had lunch at Lucia's in the Central Market opposite Podsy this arvo, he spent most of the time on his and his gf/wife's phone looking at messages :)

Slightly regret not going up and saying hey, love your work but he was enjoying the hell out of a cannolo so I let it go.

One of my faves though, he seems like the best guy.

Enjoy retirement Pods! :hearts::hearts:

Sounds like he'll be hanging around in Adelaide so hopefully you'll get your chance again soon. :)
He'll be inundated with good wishes non-stop for quite some time, I think. :)
