We managed a tight win against Geelong, pushing us up to 3rd and basically assuring us of a top four berth.

We've defeated/drawn against the top two teams.

Of course, finals is a different card game but I feel confident we could be there on the last Wednesday night in September.

Any word yet on how the finals format is going to work?

Finals format will probably work exactly the same as the AFL... top four get double chance.

I expect they will all be freeroll as well.

Once the finals start we need every single player we have contributing... you can't all rely on my Simmo-like performances- I think I called captain on the first poker thread we had

BTW, didn't quite make it to the final table but I knew which Geelong players were out there and focused purely on outlasting them.

That's a negative, Nick. I spent my winnings buying into the last money tourney. Looks like my tenuous hold on a top 10 spot is officially stuffed, after dropping to 13th last week and now missing out altogether.

It's all up to Mr Wizby tonight, but I am supremely confident that his current form will see victory for the roo boys

Unfortunately, game over.

Second abysmal defeat to Port in a week.

Was getting low, one of my favourite songs came on as I picked up my (generally) luckiest hand.

I misread the omen, pushed and got done... in fact the other fella picked up trips on the river.

Just never in it.

Didn't help that Tribey was sitting to my immediate left.

Further edit... I think we can hold out hope for a draw, as long as Tribey doesn't place much higher than I did.

The good news is that Tribey finished 14th, so lets hope there is no damage.

Top effort Filthster

I somehow finished equal 11th without playing the last round.

I still reckon if there's a final series we are a good show, but we are going to need support from the guys who were around early in the season and seem to have dropped off.
