Might have a half-share in a small pool shop by the end of next week. Turnover $120k excluding servicing. They under-service their clients so I think it should be no problem to build it up to $200k by Summer.

Anyone in the pool shop game with advice?

I don't plan to actually work in the shop at all.

We do need a good service person but we will probably try to get a sub-contractor in on commission. Does that sound doable?

Derr. Was just extracting the urine!

No doubt a seasonal business, and OK if you in Qld. I dare say these joints make more money flogging chemicals et al than digging holes and filling 'em with water.

Looking closer at it today its not a goer anyway. The current owner has been in the game 20 years and struggles through winter. Plenty of potential if you can wait out a winter and put in the time to develop it but you're paying a body to be in there selling stuff to non-existant customers.

Giving it a miss. Next up is a fruit shop or a child care development (that we haven't even researched yet).

TPI: I have been ribbing Leper about a tip I gave at <$3 maybe 6 months ago (?) and it is now hitting $9. Even I thought $6 was as far as it would run. At the time I received more than a few negative comments about trying to pump up my own stock by getting BF peeps to buy it.
