Always my favourite player, thought he was becoming a good coach and even preferred him for the Crows job.

But geez, a 100 point mauling by the Eagles today and the slide continues...maybe he's just not cut out as a coach.

Let me check first..this is another one of those ironic threads ?
 
Ok as I am not in Adelaide I cant accurately assess how many players West have lost from last year to this..because I dont believe you lose coaching nous overnight...maybe your ideas get overtaken if you dont progress with your own.

I think it would be a player drain than anything lacking in S Rehn

No West's list got considerably better this year...they were horrible last year, and now have a more stable list with some key forwards and a dominant SANFL ruckman in Ben Marsh back...except they haven't got any better.

Maybe Darren Bradshaw really was the reason they did so well 2 seasons ago.
 
I think people got too carried away with Rehn's first year coaching efforts. West had a really good side with a heap of quality youngsters. Once these youngsters were drafted and Bradshaw left Wests stocks took a huge blow and all Rehn came up with was a defensive game plan. Last year showed why the SANFL should have kept the final 4 cause West may have made the finals but they only had an 8-12 record. This year West recruited some good players in Marsh, Prokopec, Wiggins and Dragicevic but they are still playing the same defensive style of play and the results are showing that Rehn just doesn't cut it as a coach IMO.

Quite seriously. It just shows that the coach can't do it without the cattle.

Two years ago Rehn was being talked up as the coach of the century. Now he's being labelled a dud.

Probably has brought him back to earth as well.

He'll be a good coach in time IMO - this will be good for his overall learning curve as a coach.

Not in the SANFL, unfortunately. Seems SANFL has a permanent mortgage on his heart...hence the reason he was lacking one when playing for the Crows.

When Rhen was being praised and being touted as the next crows Coach ,i had just watched him coach a game against WWT(funny that ).Now i didnt like the way he coached then and im not sure i like the way he coached today . Just my 2cents worth.

Wow, someone doesn't like being belittled for their disturbingly obsessive Crows fandom.

In case you haven't figured out who that someone is (which you probably haven't) - it's you.


ok.crows - Babelfish is a good guide but it's pretty flawed as far as accuracy goes... :D
