It seems that they won't learn when Eade said no, and are heavily chasing him.
Will he leave?
HAWTHORN assistant coach Leon Cameron is expected to be unveiled on Thursday morning as Kevin Sheedy's right-hand man after Port Adelaide confirmed he had pulled out of the race for its senior coaching position.
Greater Western Sydney has foreshadowed a major announcement at 10.30am, when Cameron is set to be named as Sheedy's senior assistant coach and likely successor.
The Power's CEO, Keith Thomas, vowed on the club's website on Wednesday evening that it would appoint "a great candidate" despite the withdrawal of Cameron, who was heavy favourite for the position.
Port Adelaide's coaching search has been fraught with difficulties since Matthew Primus was sacked and caretaker coach Garry Hocking announced he would not seek the role.
Collingwood assistant Rodney Eade and sacked Carlton coach Brett Ratten were strongly touted, but both withdrew their interest, although there is speculation the Power has put pressure on Eade to reconsider.

BREAKING NEWS:
Port Adelaide have been trying desperately to make contact with Rodney Eade's management tonight, in a bid to reconvince him to coach Port Adelaide.
Port now needs Eade to accept the job to inject credibility to the club's image after Cameron turned away from the Power to be a senior assistant at the Giants.
Eade had originally rejected the job, happy to stay in Melbourne at Collingwood.
If Eade rejects the Power, the next option is sacked Carlton assistant Alan Richardson or Gold Coast assistant Ken Hinkley.
Time is desperately running out for Port Adelaide who are starting to lose as many players as applicants for the coaching position.
It seems that they won't learn when Eade said no, and are heavily chasing him.
Will he leave?
