  • Jetta doing good roving
  • No Mcveigh, Lovett, Fletcher, plus losing 3 players during the game (one of those being Wlesh) and only having one on the bench to lose by just 4 points.
  • Peverill, still alive?
  • Hille continuing top form
  • Stanton backing up lasts weeks good performance

  • Showing heart and spirit, battling on with only 19 men
  • Jetta: He was really exciting and chased hard.
  • Watson with his clearence work
  • Stanton finding plenty of the pill and not only using it well, but kicking goals
  • Lonergan's attack on the footy and 'Never Say Die' attitude
  • Our younger players helping us get back into the game
  • Reimers, showed some class with his great pace and great kick
  • I thought Paddy was great for most of the game, especially early on

Re-iterate all of the above.

Thought Dyson showed some poise at times (he will never be in our best 22 but showed enough not to be a liability at this level).

And Laycock is really coming on with his marking over the last few weeks. Getting some touches whereas a month ago he would sometimes go statless for entire halves.

  • Peverill will get another year.
  • Players gave it there all, with not much rest(3 injured)
  • Jetta recovered after he screwed up first quarter.
  • Hille AA
Not sure what else ATM.

Knights' coaching response at half time.

The situation:
- The 22 we had on the field this week offered less leg speed/endurance than previous weeks.
- We were playing on a larger ground than last week at the Dome.
- We had accumulated a couple of injuries to half-time, and the players were showing fatigue...

To switch to a long-kicking game, and minimise carry of the ball was good team management I feel. And the players got on board and made it work. We have some good one-on-one competitors I feel...

# Laycock did pretty well for someone that was only on cuz of the lacking interchange bench in the last quarter, getting some marks and hopefully learning a few lessons on goalkicking
# Atkinson played well
# Peverill did a super job
# A Fletcher lacking defence did quite well with the likes of Mal Michael and Ryder

its a pretty big question isnt it?
his been in pretty good form in the seniors the last fortnight.
you would think JJ, CJ, and mal are certanties to go at the end of the year,
and there are question marks over lee, rama, hell even players like laycock, lovett could be offloaded in a trade.

i personally think he could still offer a bit in defence but thats just me. i would probably delist, JJ,CJ, mal, lee before him..

i agree with the last one but i think we as a supporter group can overrate our players frmo time to time. did atkinson really do that well? he kicked a pretty good goal, did some good things, but lets face it he is 23 and should probably make an immediate impact due to his pretty well built body and age. not critisising him but i wouldnt say he played that well.

peverill i thought was pretty good.
and laycock i cant say had a good game.. a disposal efficiecny of less than 50% and missed critical goals that he definately should have kicked.

yeh atkinson wasnt that bad, and well with laycock he was okay
he did get a pretty good goal assist,

Jetta, Reimers, McPhee going back (should've happened 2nd qtr), Pev always having a go.

A ton of injuries and we still got that close even with Lucas and Lloyd having bad days.

Richmond will struggle longer than us ...... as usual. Apart from richo out that's all they've got.

Our kids:

Ryder - Is there a more composed and calm 20 year old in KP in the league? He's just so unbelievably cool under pressure; took some huge marks in defense when we were under seige

Reimers - Still can't believe he was drafted in the 40's...Great skills, and never say die attitude

Jetta - His last three weeks have been great - he could've easily had 4-5 goals today, needs to be more selfish and just put 'em through the big sticks

Pev played a top notch game from defense; warms the heart to see players like Pev still around

The clearances - we smashed Richmond

Hille continues AA form

Peveril played well, gave it all he had. I give him credit for his effort, especially after the press was told by the CEO he wouldn't be getting a game again this year.

Banana boots was exciting. Bugger played his heart out. :thumbsu:

The class Jetta showed, once he gets a bit more selfish he will be a freak.

Stanton stepping up a notch over the past month, handling the number 1 tag brilliantly and showing he is a very handy option up foward.

i'm positive about the fact that we had/still have a mammoth injury list and the side we fielded nearly pinched the game, with even more injuries throughout the day. things are lookin up people! still gutted by the loss though.

Lucas' goal was awesome, i lost the plot in the stands! :D
