Careys line is looking good with a few yr10s, which really stood there ground in the prac against skevs so they will be good recruits. But looking strong and pumped to take Hailbury up first.
(special mention Jack (drogba) Didier yr10 who dominated in careys back half.)

the grudge match
geelong college vs geelong grammar at GC main oval

how are the two sides shaping up
ive heard that GG have been pouring a lot of money into scholarships for this year
also wondering how GC will cope with the loss of several big names, cordy still there for sure, but is one player going to be enough against the money slinging boys from corio

another little aside: how are GC going at fielding a competitive midfeild??
maas and who else??
is wade a chance or is he injured again??

No it's not. Carey are not good. They were mauled by Skevs, who were previously mauled by Xavier. Hailebury are better than both, so you will get killed by Hailebury.

How will you match up on the the likes of Vickery, Martin, Scully, Smith, Lynch? You will struggle with such class over the ground and in the air, and have very little chance.

Think of it this way. You guys claim Lisle as being a superstar of the competition. He is your best player, which admittedly, doesn't say much at all. Someone like Nicolopoulos, on the other hand, is invariably underrated by almost everyone. However, Nicolopoulos has completely outplayed Lisle in the TAC, kicking bags of 6, 6, and 4, and considering that he has only played part of his game time in the forward line during these games, and stands at just 180cm tall, this is an amazing feat. For any player this is a great performance, but considering that most people (myself not included) do not even rate him in the top 3 or 4 players at Hailebury, you should be worried.

This is just one reflection of the immense variety of Hailebury, and the talent they have. With players like Nicolopoulos, Scully, Smith etc, they will be very hard to beat this year, and Carey will not come close.
