Possible Virus?

Just got on the laptop and as soon as I opened Google it game up with 'Download Quality HD pr0n Movies To Your Computer' and then after opening BigFooty it came up with 'Download Any Tube Video's To Your Computer'

Is this a virus? If it is what can I do now without going to buy a virus protection thing? Should I be logging into sites like Facebook? Or am I just paranoid?

That's a virus. You have some foreign program embedded on your computer somewhere. Malware/Adware whatever you want to call it.

There's plenty of progies on the net for free that you can use to get rid of this. I don't know what they're called because I don't get (bad) viruses. Someone should be able to tell you what they are called.

One of the better free antiviruses out there.

Just do a complete scan of your computer (may take a while)

Sounds like malware.

Malwarebytes is good for getting rid of them.

Seconding getting avast, just make sure you get the free version, you just have to register it every year for free, do automatic updates every 4 hours as well.

Another good program to get would be a spybot killer, you can download one from here http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/

Only downloaded Avast, and it done the job I think, no more High Quality HD pr0n
