I actually want to see Watts get a go in the midfield. He has quickness, and good decision making and disposal and I think he could offer more there than as a floater in the backline. I see no reason why he can't play a similar role to Adam Goodes.

I reckon Sylvia needs to play midfield. He's wasted at half forward.

What are everyone's thoughts on Dunn?

I didn't see every game in the second half of the season, but from what I saw Dunn showed some good signs as a defender. He's played forward and midfield to little success, perhaps the backline will be where he can flourish. I think he has the attributes (body size, aggression, skills aren't bad), and he will benefit from being led to the ball rather than having to make or create play further up the field.

I know some will think he's just dead wood, but I am interested to hear what other posters think?

Agree, entirely.

Dunn's got enough physical and athletic attributes to be able to defend well (although not to the level where you'd slot him into a key defensive post) and a long and accurate enough kick to work well offensively. He's found his spot.

Nicho's in the side because I'd say Neeld's a fan of his running and kicking out of the backline - and I think the latter ain't too bad - which is important when moving the footy up the ground and something few offer. He takes the game on and I wouldn't be surprised if Neeld attempts to mould him into a Rhyce Shaw type of player who works well both ways. But, I would say his kicking at full pace needs a little work as does his defensive ability...

Sorry CFH, I didn't even notice your Dunn post until after I made my own.

I agree pretty much with what you've said. I think he has good potential in the back half with some of his attributes.
