The Departed was magnificent. I love Leo. I'm going to add Blood Diamond and Body of Lies. A couple that I've been watching again a fair bit recently is Charlie Wilsons War and the first Pitch Perfect.

i actually thought the departed was a poor version of the original hong kong version

Australian:Rake. yeah not a movie but meh.
Cap ...looked up under schizophrenia symptoms .....and these movies fit the prognosis

Only foreign film i watch are on SBS and the story line gets lost most times.

Great actor .....seen "Unbreakable" ? and great in "Kingsmen"
 
in terms of recent movies i think anything by Nolan has been worth watching, ie momento, prestige, new batman series, interstellar. The kauffman brothers have also produced some excellent movies such as being john malkovich and ofcourse the coen brothers (big labowski, fargo, no country for old men). Tarantino movies are always worth watching as well. I could go on. In saying that id argue that some tv shows are far superior to what you see in the movies nowadays.
