Cristiano Ronaldo the jury is still out and won't be back in for a couple of seasons, but I'm not convinced.

He should not shoulder all the blame for West Brom's dominance down that flank though, as he was given no defensive help from Portugese whizzkid Cristiano Ronaldo whatsoever.
Ronaldo, all flashy white boots and prancing gait, made a fool of himself with his first touch when he triped over his own feet and lost possesssion

From the Mirror this morning.
I have been talking to a bloke at work about Ronaldo, he is a ST holder at Old Trafford, and reckons Ronaldo hasn't played a decent match since Bolton.
Say what you like about Beckham, but a key part of his game was helping out the defence, and it is here where Ronaldo shows nothing. I am sure his effectiveness going forward will improve in time, but unless he can add a defensive side to his game, I suspect he may never live up to his price tag.

He has been tracking back of late, but remember he is 18 years old. You don't see many 18 year olds with talent like that, the rest will come with time.

Tottenham will be glad to see the back of him i suspect. How he is playing top flight football is completely beyond me.

Prolly because he has been showing an extraordinary amount in training and is slowly producing it on the pitch. You people expect a 20 yo from another country to come in straight away and score 20 goals. The fact that he has been able to have the opportunities is a credit to him.
Obviously you didnt see his goal yesterday.

no i didnt but after having so many chances to score goals over the last month, one of them had to go through eventually. He is a poor finisher and wastes even the simplest of oppurtunities to kick goals. The Arsenal game a few weeks ago was the perfect example
