Any info or scores from the 2009 pre-season practice matches can be added here.

First cab off the rank would be yesterday's curtain raiser to the NAB Cup game at Aurora Stadium.
Reigning NTFL Premier Launceston took on TSL newboys Lauderdale and with Blues centurion full forward Adam Derbyshire only taking part very briefly, Launceston still won easily - 10.13 (73) to 2.7 (19).

Hope that's not a sign of things to come.

Last thing the TSL need are some highly-underperforming teams in Year 1 (although I feel it is inevitable unfortunately)

Was Derbyshire the only senior player that only played part of the game for LAUNCESTON,and how many senior players were missing out of LAUDERDALES side?

I couldn't tell you OL, that was all that was written in the small little article in the Mercury. ;)
No mentions of how many each side had in/out, just that Derba hardly spent any time on the park and they still ran out 54-point winners.
That would be I presume Lauderdale's first ever match at York Park/Aurora Stadium, be about twice the size of their own home ground!!

Lauderdale Oval is surely the smallest in the league. I would say shorter than the TCA.

Missing the bump in the middle though!

I stand to be corrected but I have heard on the grapevine that the ABC are going to by-pass Bellerive Oval for TV coverage.

A strange one that considering that AFL TAS and the TCA are in bed together.

I saw Clarence in a club practice game and can report that Brad Dutton is back in a big way.

Thurley looked like he was ready for the AFL and in general one would think they will be top 4.
