I didn't know where to put this, so thought I'd start a thread on it.
Around 3 weeks ago when I was out drinking with mates at a pub in town on a Friday night, I got a call from a blocked number. Now, as I was a little drunk, I picked it up and thought it was a mate of mine who had put their number as blocked. However, I started to realise this might not be who I thought, so after asking persistently who it was without getting a clear answer, I hung up and called the mate who I thought it was originally. It wasn't him.
Anyway, the blocked number called again about an hour later, and asked if I was going to another club in town that night, to which I replied that I wasn't. But this was started to get weird, so I continued to ask who it was with no success, and they kept saying I would need to go to the said club to find out. I didn't bother, and just went home thinking it was a mate having a bit of fun trying to piss me off.
But, then it got even weirder, as the same person called through a blocked number at like 9am on the Sunday morning after, and asked what I had got up to Saturday night. I said nothing, asked again who this was, got no answer, so hung up.
It doesn't stop here though, I've had another 2 or 3 calls since then from the same person at the most random times of the day. From mid afternoon, to mid morning like today. As I'm expecting a call about a job atm, and they last called on a blocked number, I naturally pick up calls during a weekday.
For the last 2 or 3 calls, I simply pick up and check if it's the same person, then hang up straight away.
None of the calls have been threatening at all, and it sounds like someone of a similar age to me, but I cannot figure out who it is, and I'm starting to get a little worried with the number of calls I'm getting. They clearly know who I am.
Has anyone had an issue like this before? If so, how did you deal with it?
