As much as I want to see Normie Hill at his best and playing with the Pies, this is another great example of where the AFL could consider introducing a player/s trading model and window through the season for clubs to have flexibility when it comes to list management.
cover the numbers on the roulette wheelIt came across as the club trying to have an each way bet, pleasing both Australia Day supporters and indigenous people.

Get a grip it’s about respect for all. If all you want is divisiveness go to the Ununited States of America, it’s working so well there. FFS must we follow every yank trend? As you admit, you are a lefty, woke idealist. Personally, I prefer my pragmatic view of it all, though there is room for both of us to have interpreted it correctly.Well I am an idealistic, woke, lefty so I think that club’s statement was simply acknowledging that they understand that for some people it is a day of celebration and for others it is a day for mourning. Gees, how woeful is that.Get a grip it’s about respect for all. If all you want is divisiveness go to the Ununited States of America, it’s working so well there. FFS must we follow every yank trend?
You were too quick. It was immediately removed. Thanks for the thumbs down New Dawn, it was expected. You have lived up to my expectations.

Chalk and cheese compared to the flog behavior of JUH.I really don't think he leaves Perth. The club should have cut ties with him at the end of '25.
It's turning into a JUH situation where he can't and doesn't play, may train for a week then vanish again, but still gets paid, and at the end of it all he then gets traded for a 4th round pick to WC or Freo...
I also don't understand why on social media he was saying he was back, and was going to prove people wrong blah blah blah, earlier in the pre-season. Well l think those who had some criticism have proven to be correct....
HDM’s deficiencies are so concerning that sadly, all the new mid recruits are likely to go passed him.For me it’s not super surprising. He got that contract pre draft. I agree that he needs to show something, but with upcoming retirements in the midfield over the next couple of years, we need to persist with a few younger players on the list and hope they develop quickly and at least provide some strong depth.
At least they have had a couple of years development and a few pre-seasons under their belt.
Not sure what the alternative is unless we target an A-Grade midfielder and another who can step straight in to our best 18
I think it’s also telling that we recruited 3 mids including a mature ager… to me doesn’t sound like we have much confidence in the current cropHDM’s deficiencies are so concerning that sadly, all the new mid recruits are likely to go passed him.

Sadly, too, Hine’s reputation seems to be taking a hit. His last couple of years are not looking great.
Don't write him off yet. HDM will feature this year. He's got enough talent. The 3 mids we picked are earmarked for when the likes of Pendles, sidey and Crisp retire. Hine has struggled for the last 5 years but he hasn't really had the picksSadly, too, Hine’s reputation seems to be taking a hit. His last couple of years are not looking great.
The seconds in my corner are prepping me for round two as I type. I plan on rushing him at the bell with a refurbished viewpoint so persuasive that he (or she) will immediately concede the folly of his position and admit that he couldn't have been more wrong if he had wanted to be.Two early for that. It’s not BigFooty if the conflict doesn’t escalate and go around in vicious circles for hours.

He is disappointing given the hype when he was drafted, not just as a player but as a potential leader in the club too. Leastways, that's what I recall being bandied around about him at the time. He's quick and had a really good season in the midfield last year. His kicking is a bit dodgy but most inside mids don't kick that well. He was reading the ball off the ruckmans palm really well, which is a talent in itself. They are trying to teach him to be a high half forward, which will only add to his repatuor. He now has a mature body and will only improve. I think he could play Sullivan's role very well and with much more pace. TD, I reckon you’re reading stuff into Collingwood’s statement that simply isn’t there. Collingwood’s statement is wholly uncontroversial. There is no attack whatsoever. It’s quite an inclusive statement; no more, no less.I am fine with different things being part of Australia but also come accross as a Attack on Australia with saying it's Mourning
Yeah they talked about his professionalism in the same vein of Pendles, because he came from a cricket background and was around that environment. He is disappointing given the hype when he was drafted, not just as a player but as a potential leader in the club too. We're hardly going to play hardball and stand in the way of Bobby reuniting with his children. What possible good could come from that?We don't have to give him away for nothing. He's contracted.
Bobby can go back to WA even if he’s on our books (like he probably is right now). We're hardly going to play hardball and stand in the way of Bobby reuniting with his children. What possible good could come from that?
He'll quite likely sit out all/most of this season, having missed the back half of 2025. Under such circumstances, no club is going to pay us remotely close to his end-2024 value. We wouldn't, if the situation was reversed.
From a playing perspective, here's hoping Saxena turns out to be Bobby 2.0.
