Reckon I only got about 4 or 5 in my first year as them Won the flag with them last year from 8th but still can't get any consistency happening, so FRUSTRATING!!!!!!!! Anyone know any tips for the mighty Gold Coast Suns?!?!

Does the rivalry between clubs affect their trading? I was Carlton and I offered everything for Cloke and he was still said no. Was on the trade table too

What did you give for Andrew because in my Freo career i gave up a 66 overall 76 potential forward.

Wow, bargain on your half. Can't remember what I gave for him (is there a way to check?). Did the trade 2 or 3 seasons ago but was also a pretty reasonable steal on my half iirc. There are always certain stars who for some reason are really easy to bring in. Remember in last years version I used to always get Aaron Davey and Colin Sylvia for a bunch of hacks

On a different topic again, anyone know how to get key defenders to play well? I have Carlile going pretty well but Ben Reid is really having a tough time. Often doesn't get a touch and barely ever gets a rating out of the 0's. Can't for the life of me seem to develop a decent youngster either

Probably the best individual performance I've 'coached'

I got Dusty Martin for Hamish McIntosh. The next year i then traded Martin to Gold Coast for Ablett and the very next year I picked up Dustin in the pre-season draft so win-win for me.

I think so, i tried just about everything to get Mark LeCras to Freo but got rejected every time.

Well Sam Day gets at least 4 just about every week for me seriously do whatever you can do to get this kid, he just has the perfect balance of stats to dominate week-in week-out

I drafted Zane Oatley this year because Drew Petrie retired and he has kicked 14 goals in 3 games so far i think i dont need Sam Day. He is a tall forward standing 196cm tall his potential is 100.

I play Dish at Fullback, racks 20+ disposals constantly and averages about 7 in the match rating each game.

I was thinking about that but he is a Forward in my eyes and he always has been. I know that he is a good in various positions but he is at his best out of the goal-square.

I think, it may have something to do with players getting to there peak and not getting better and the game knowing this and trading for player who have not yet reached there peak, also players coming out of contract. hust my thoughts???

Yeah those reasons do make sense. Never really thought about why it happens tho tbh. Although, some of the 'easy blokes' I've brought in have improved a bit I'm pretty sure

Deddy, I started him there, but Hansen, who has FB at the time, got injured so I chucked Dish down there. Haven't been able to take him out of there. Hansen is now my FF with a few games from McKinley while Lachie was injured.

Needs one or two more small defenders IMO. Tapscott is worth trading for as he has a peak of around 84 and can play anywhere on the ground

Been a slow season but I've finally finished it. Even though I'm rated as the best team, I still couldn't make it into the 4. Finished 5th, one game out. Picked my team up in the 2nd half of the season and hardly lost a game, winning the first 3 finals. All were relatively close encounters. Came back from 7 goals at 1/2 time to beat the saints in the semi and knocked off the hawks (last years runner-up) by 3 pts in the prelim and had a good feeling about going back-to-back. Still hadn't lost a final at all in the Gold Coast's history
However, some crisis had set in. Injuries to 3 of my stars (Wellingham, Harbrow, C. Brown) and another 2 suspended after the prelim (Z. Smith, A. Swallow) put me in some doubt. To top it off big Gazza was still getting over an injury himself, entering the GF at about 80% and in a massive form slump.
Up against the minor premiers, Essendon, who had beaten me pretty comfortably in the previous 2 games we had played that year. Gazza got himself up for the big day getting 33 possies, 1.1 and restricting his opponent to 18, taking home Norm Smith as the only piece of silverware going back to the Gold Coast. Ended up going down 13.9.87 - 13.12.90 Big disappointment was Sammy Day, having his lowest return of the season in 1.4. Probably the difference but oh well. Pretty satisfied though considering the outs and not having the double chance

Extremely keen on this game after reading through all the pages. Anyone played with the eagles ? What's the team like ? Surely Naitanui has infinity potential
