Anyone watching the webcast of the Premiership dinner? Looking forward to seeing my favourites! Lovely Leon Baker, Billy Duckworth :thumbsu:

even better than the webcast..... i was there.....

a great night by the efc..... i grew up as a little kid with watson, madden, van der, salmon all running around..... bomber thompson also made an effort to be there..... all spoke really well and shared some insights into a great era at the club......

my mate and i are already thinking about the 93 and 2000 25th anniversaries...... we are going to be there.... go dons......

All the reports I've heard and read from last night have been completely outstanding and again demonstrate why we are one of the most envied clubs in the land.

It was a great effort by Mark Thompson to attend, considering the massive game he is coaching today. He apparently spoke brilliantly and attributed the success currently at Geelong to his time at Essendon and how the experiences of dual premierships in the 80's has assisted him in developing the powerhouse team he coaches today.

They'll be more reports in the papers tommorow no doubt.

Fabulous telecast. Would have been great to be there! Hope a few young supporters watched and got a feeling for those fabulous years! :thumbsu:

Absolutely true.... 1600 people in the room and the place went silent when he spoke.....

I was there and it was a brilliant night. Probably the highlight of the night was Simon Madden's performance on the Guitar, that should be released on the website for download.

I was there and it was a super night.

The best way to describe it is - you know when you talk to someone from inside a club etc that tells you inside stories or behind the scenes stuff and it fixates you. It was 4 hours of that. As football was the best for me back then i thought the night was brilliant. I turned to my mum that many times and said "how good's this" . Tim Watson was great as MC too. If they release a dvd of the night getting a copy is a must.
