In all this debacle in Tassie, one thing to come out of it is that we don't have a President who does his bidding via the media.

I know Rick Hart was on the field "after" the game on Sunday, but has kept out of the media and obviously allowed the club to persue their appeal throught the correct channels.

Can you imagine some other presidents in the media spotlight if their club was involved in this balls up.

Love Tasmania, but fair go, if your facilities aint up to AFL standard, no games. How about as a trade off (if no reversal occurs), no games in Tassie for 2007 onwards?.

I think it was an umpiring and time keeping error by AFL officials and Tasmanian sports fans should not be punished for this. The umpire ignored the players, coaches and everyone else screaming that the game was in fact over. Why should the fans suffer for this? The AFL should be making it up to them!

I should have said the trade off was for Freo, no games for Freo in Tassie. The void will be filled by Vic teams wandering across the Bass.

I agree, common sense says no west australian team should have been playing in Tassie in the first place! But then again Collingwood would have spat it having to fly alllllllll the way to Tasmania for an away game given they have to travel interstate so often!

I agree with Masai, If the facilities aren't up to scratch then why even bother playing there, Bad luck to the Tasmanian Supporters but they can watch it on TV if they want, I'd rather have games been played out properly and have correct sirens and no dilemma's like this one then having a whole state of AFL supporters having a cry about not having any live games, also that with such distant for these W.A teams that it's even stupid having Eagles or Fremantle in the fixture to play at Aurora.

Hahahaha. Collingwood have volunteered to play any SA or WA teams in Queensland, as long as they are Collingwood AWAY games. Must believe that they travel too much already. laughable.
