Surprised there hadn't been a thread started on this yet.

The great man, Simon Prestigiacomo is back at the club in an official capacity, he is the new Merchandise Operations Manager.

Simon Pretigiacomo has returned to Collingwood after calling an end to his illustrious playing career at the end of the 2010 season, having notched 233 games for the Magpies.

Prestgiacomo, who held down Collingwood’s backline for 15 seasons, is now a member of the front office having been appointed to the role of merchandise operations manager.

Great to see Presti back at the club, in a meaningful role, and it also shows that the education programs being set up by the AFLPA through clubs do actually give options to players once their career finishes.

Welcome home Presti.:)

Good to see the club looking after it's own.

I thought I read somewhere he was training to be Real Estate after footy? I guess things change.

Dont expect any discount when you visit the Collingwood Superstore.
Presti was one of the tightest full backs in the comp & probably this aspect of his game will fit well with their merchandising strategy, put a magpie face upfront with fiscal responsibility behind (good move CFC board).

I remember shopping at the CFC store at Victoria Parl in the late 70's (the size of 2 telephone booths). After announcing my presence, a tall gangly man appeared from nowhere (Twiggy Dunne), proceeded to switch on the lights then disappeared to find the key to the cash register. I bought a few items & he was most gratefull. I was wrapped that I had been served by a former Collingwood player.
