Essendon did a 3.2 time trial around Princess Park this morning. Bolts had the quickest time, Hirdy the second quickest. Winderlich fininished in the top 5, whilst Matthew Allan and Hille both finished in the top ten.

Does anyone know of the times they ran? David Clarke ran the fastest time for Carlton last week when they did it, of 11min 05.

It would be interesting to compare.

Sounds good.

The run they do, to explain it for our interstate fans is a start near the driveway entrance to Optus Oval, south to Melbourne Uni, along College Crescent, north up Princes Park Drive, along where the old North Fitzroy railway line ran in the 50's and 60's and then back to Optus Oval.

Bolts recording the best time is nothing to be sneezed at. Nice work.:D

Allan top 10 ? wicked - that would indicate his body is good. Unfortunately it also indicates that our team must be really f***ing slow.

It also indicates that it is ONLY November and there is still 5 months of solid work to go. Not everybody is going to go flat out this time of year, some still have niggling injuries from the previous season.

It was good to see Allan, Alvey and Murphy all training in the Essendon colours today. From the images I saw, the playing list are accepting them. :)

Don't know Bolts time. But Murphy who finished about 15th did it in 11min 50sec.

yeh well the last sentance of the article says it all.

"Last year rookie Scott Howard took the honours and this year he was pipped by Mark Bolton"

i am sorry essendon but you hardly have the esteemed running midfield that other clubs boast. however i rate ure toughness highly.

Bolton may not be a great player, but there's no shame in finishing behind him in a time trial. One of the fittest players in the league.

Our midfield will look a lot better in a couple of years when Winderlich, Walsh, Reynolds, etc. have settled into the side.

He also came second in the GF sprint, would've won if he hadn't slipped at the start of the final. Won his heat too.

Out of curiosity, where did dancin dazza walsh finish?

Can`t agree, that Freo bloke who won was unbackable and he showed why, would`ve loved my boy to have won it, never going to happen.

Cupido was about 12 kgs heavier than walker, big handicap right there...terrific power athelete is cupido. Not to mention he is a much better footballer than walker.
