Anyone involved in this? Here (UK) its virtually impossible to get in the best funds (same for hedge funds). Many have min inv of over £1m. They have been making some great returns though.

Private Equity will stuff the market. Good for them if you want to make a quick buck, but all this private equity activity smacks of 1980's opportunism. If the world goes into recession, I dare say the private equity craze will play a major part in it.
