So here I am. Its 3:30am in the morning and i have to write a 2500 word report on something to do with global warming and what management techniques can be used to stop it or something crazy like that. It is due tommorow and I have been sitting here for about 4 hours and i have written "The purpose of this report is".

6 words in four hours. In the meantime I have been trying to grind out $10 by posting 5 posts in a row in the infamour "Post five posts in a row to win TEN DOLLARS" thread. I won by the way. And now I am posting about how badly I am procratinating and TBH i dont even know if this post makes any sense.

So, Post stories of procrastinatinsson and such

GO!!!!!!!!!

Have done a old 'all nighter' on a number of occasions, normally i work for about half an hour, and surf the net for 10 - 15 minutes, its a lot easier if you already know what you have to write about and have it all planned, therefore you dont get the feeling of panic.

A trip to the 24 hour servo is also in order at about 1 o clock to stock up on a red bull and some food.

But since you have written about 6 words in 4 hours i suggest that it wouldn't be unfair to say that the assignmnet you have to do will be submitted past its due date.

Thats true, once I get going I normally can get through it pretty fast, but I still have no idea what the question is.

Thats probably a good place to start

Just put in 3pictures and let the lecturer make up 1000 words for each picture.

When I was at school, I often used to start weekend homework (due in on Monday) at about 4 pm on Sunday (unless it was something that interested me). Each time I swore that I would not do this again, but always did.

I do that as well, but then the 15 minutes turns into half an hour, which turns into an hour and so on. Then at 4 on a Monday morning you realise you haven't even finished your intro and it's due in another 4 hours. I suck at planning when to start as well.

Also, for some reason there's ALWAYS something on the day before something's due, whether it be a family dinner or whatever.

Ironically, I haven't even started a speech due tomorrow.

I used to always leave my assignments until the last minute at university. I couldn't write unless I was under pressure. I only had to get an extension once. I ended up getting a distinction for every unit except two so it obviously worked for me.

Same here, some of my best work was turned in the morning after writing. What really helped me was the ability to churn out a finished product first time through.
As long as I knew what I was going to write about, the format came naturally.
Breezed through English....my mother was amazed, I told her the secret was knowing what the teacher wanted to hear....and then write it regardless of if you believe it or not.

Did well in debate while doing this...and I hated debate!!

I leave things until the last minute.

Every time, I say to myself "this is the last time" but of course, it is not.

Go back to bed. Any wonder why you are putting the report off. Get off the computer and write it up later. You should learn from this mistake. Don't leave everything to the last minute. You will probably ____ it up.

I love to procastinate. Last Wednesday I stayed up till 3am finishing off this Legal Assignment for Uni. I was MSNing with fellow Legal students who were also procrastinating. I've told myself not to leave it to the last minute again, because afterwards I only had 4 hours sleep and on that Thursday, I had uni from 10-6 and it was bloody hectic.

Fast forward Sunday night. Another Legal Assignment due, 8:30p.m. and haven't even started as it was due the next day. I was on BigFooty... hmmm...

Is this the topic for me or what. I am plauged by procrastination ATM. Seriously. These legal notes are massssive CBF material.

But if you do nothing, then nothing happens. And, yep, I was up 'till 1.30ish last night doing study-related stuff. Because it was a Sunday. Again! Promise I'll change next week...far out I've said that for ages!

Procrastination is a friend.

The sooner one accepts this, the better one will feel.

If it wasn't for the last minute, nothing would get done.

ps. I'm procrastinating as I speak.

Pulled an all nighter last Monday for an assignment due at 11am. Was absolutely destroyed and almost fell asleep in class that day. Also screwed up my sleeping patterns for the remainder of the week. Funny thing is, I had access to the assignment question in Week 2 and this was when it was suggested we start it. I started 11pm the night before it was due, which happened to be the start of Week 10!

Oh and for the record, I finished the assignment some time after 8am:D

I was doing Contract Law in uni last year. Had a prick of a semester, work issues, a death in the family, problems with accomodation etc... and had struggled with 3 of the 4 units I was doing.

Exam weeks comes along, the 3 units I am having issues with are on consecutive days, 9am, 9am and 3pm. I do the first, easy enough. Finish at 11am, go to sleep for 2hrs, and study more or less non-stop for 26hrs till 3pm, write a few essays for Contract Law, and end up passing with a credit (got somewhere between 70-80 for exam). Within that 26hrs I went to the servo once, on the net for 15 minutes at a time maybe 3 times and had 2 separate 1hr naps. So I studied for 23 out of 26hrs. Go to bed and sleep from 4pm till about 7am.

Never doing that again... (ie, doing it next month)
