Bad guys have invented a pill that gives people special powers for a few minutes - with an agenda of world domination. Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays a New Orleans cop who is fighting them. Jamie Foxx is a mystery guy looking for the source of the pills. Dominique Fishback is a pill dealer, and likes to rap.
I'm not big on superhero movies but this was a fun twist. The pills give each person different superpowers so you get an interesting range of freaks. The script mostly hangs together without taking itself too seriously. There is good chemistry between the three leads. There are good action sequences and special effects. Decent soundtrack. There are a few cheesy moments but overall it's a good couple of hours of entertainment.
