With Richo out for at least 10 weeks, I think we should elevate Silvester. He looks that much better at VFL then Thurstfield it's not funny. I don't like the idea of Thurstfield getting into the side on default, esspeacially when his Coburg form hasn't been flash hot.

Whereas Silvester DOMINATES week in, week out for Coburg and is rarely beaten in a one-on-one. He can't do anymore then what he is doing now. He may have looked ordinary in a couple of NAB cup performances but so did everyones new favourite player, one Robin Nahas.

Give him a crack I reckon. From here on in the season is about playing players who have good form and are young enough to take us to the future. Silvester, still at only , is one of about 5 players on our list in good form (McGuane, Tambling, Jackson, Guss being the others imo)

Nahas, Foley, Moore, McGuane, Tuck, Jackson, Collins, White, Raines, etc have all come from rookie/low picks. I reckon we have diamond in the rough here.

The Cat is pretty good at VFL level and should be given a chance since the season has gone. He can come in for Rance for a few weeks and Moore can either be given time to get over his shoulder or be played as a third tall in defense.

hahahahaha, fool. Lets continue to fill our side full of duds, the great Silvestor to stop the great forwards in Franklin, Brown, Roughead, and Fevola. **** me we are deluded, we think players like hughes, silvestor and shultz will be the answers to our KP problems.

I cant wait for this to happen. Tipping it will, going on the form guide. I mean, TW has his finger on the pulse and knows that this would be the finishing touch in making us look totally like a middle of the road VFL side. ;)

Do you have a pulse in you ****????????????

Gezzuzz you lot are ignorant.

Reality check. Thustfield has been at VFL for what a month now. He has had one decent game in this time. His others have been poor at best. To say Silvester isn't a better option is beyond stupid - he has been in the best almost EVERY WEEK.

SleepingGiant, you are a tosser of the highest proportion. What is your big idea? Playing Vickery, Post, Gourdis and Putt? STUPID IDEA.

Very few players can jump straight up to AFL, even less KP players. One of the biggest problems with Tambling, and to a lesser extent Deledio, was that they never played VFL. They just got thrown into the big time and didn't learn many of the fundementals.

It costs us 30k to upgrade a rookie. As far as I can tell we don't use any of our budget on weights, development or recruiting so why not use it here?

He looks to be ok, maybe give him another few weeks to see if his form isn't just a purple patch.

Why is everyone so high on Putt? I thought he was a project, that is basically just tall. No real talent and extremely slow?

Why do we continue to accept mediocrity???.....simply not good enough for AFL level - never was, never will be....a stop gap player at best......

Silvester!!!! dud and a half.:thumbsd:

he might be worth a go, dont forget most knobs around here thought same about Gus, now he looks like being anything....be careful about stong opinions on fellas yet to even debut:confused:

what it could do is release Moore or Mcguane to be used elsewhere...We really need to mix the structure up, as Plan a has failed

I am one of those knobs, and yes I think I was wrong.

yep thats alright tugg, I stuck my neck out early on Gus only to retract it but have been wrapt in what ive seen from the big fella in recent weeks...None of us have much patience but it prob takes the cake before a fella has had a chance to debut...I say use him as a stay at home FB and release Moore from KPP duties he needs a new role to liven him up abit...looks lost right now and he's better than that:thumbsu:

whats wrong with nahas, dont know there's a precedent for a decent size playing two 65kg fellas in the side:confused:...In any case he has yet to be elevated from the thirds, that would be a start
Jonothan Brown would weight more than Nahas, Gilligan, Collins and Edwards combined.

I believe he is taking teh p!ss....

Silvester has been the full back in the VFL Team of the Year two years running.

His form isn't a purple patch. It's his norm.

Is this the same bloke that got reamed in a NAB cup game?

No thanks.
