Ok here goes
I recently stumbled into a fair bit of money and would like to get myself a playstation 2 with a few games and 2 controllers.
Now....

I am not really a fan of playing game systems alone its really more of a social thing for me.So the games need to have great multiplayer capabilities.

I have looking for a
1.Good sports game
2.I good first person shooter
3.Best of the rest.

sports game id go nhl 2002,if you like that sort of thing of course :)
first person,not really sure what you should get,ive never really been into them,you could probably pick up metal gear solid 2,is not a first person shooter,but more of a 3rd person and should be one of the games of the year. it got rated a 9.7 on ign which are good with their reviews
also,pick up grand theft auto 3,its being re-released after it was banned,and theyve only taken out 7 seconds of animation,which doesnt affect the game at all


oh,if you have enough money for one,get an xbox instead,it will be much better,i played a few games on it in december and it was great,much better looking than the ps2 and remember,the ps2 had a year to get its games looking this good whereas the xbox's are already of a high standard.
the reason im suggesting this is because if your really after a first person game then you can get halo,its one of the nicest looking games ive ever played,as well as having a great AI also.

Is that all? What have they taken out? I would have thought that they would have cut the game to pieces.

To continue with the thread, GTA3 has got to be the best game ever released on PS 1 or 2, plus they are bringing out an add-on to the game - at the moment they are calling it GTA3 - Miami - around Spring.

Sports game - Madden 2002
First Person Shooter - Max Payne
Best of the rest - GTA3, Smackdown 3 - Just Bring It, , Metal Gear Solid 2, V8 Supercars (released about June)

Instead of FIFA, try Pro Evolution Soccer.

FIFA is pure junk next to that game.

i beleive that theyve only taken out the rocking of the car and i would also say when the hooker come over to your car and bends over to talk. that last bit im not so sure about,but i would think it would be taken out:)

Thats good news, but also bad news. GTA3 needs all those little extras, just to give you something else to do.:D

Doing missions can get boring.
