so is there a reason my PS4 wifi is so bad. The speed for download is in the Kbps. Might be lucky and get to 3mbps but rare.
Is there something I can do to fix this. Other than run a cable down my house (which I'm doing now)
Will NBN fix this as that comes here in the next few months.

Anyone had any luck with "Power Line Adapter's?
With mine wired is fine but is not practical, nearly face planted before.

This is what I use. They work fine as long as you spend a few extra bucks and get a decent pair. I run mine into a switch which feeds my PS4, XB1 and PC with no issues.

I used to have one at my old house, went to a switch too so had 8 different things running off it, and it worked fine. If you have Foxtel I'd ring them and try your luck at getting one for free (that's how I got mine). Say you need it for their on Demand stuff but are unable to reach the router from the foxtel box.

Cheers for the help, we only have Foxtel Play so it's just through the PS4/3 or IPAD.

Can someone explain the devices. I've seen you get 2 in a pack? But what if I want to use it for the PS3 which is another room. Can you get adapters with multiple ports. Links would be appreciated as I have no idea with this stuff.

PS modem is about 6 years old, could that be an issue?

I've never looked into it, but I would imagine as long as it is on the same circruit you could have 3 running.

The age of the router could definitely be an issue. How is it speed wise with everything else? As people have said, the PSN is just bloody shit house.

The speed is okay I guess. It has dropped out a few times on the laptop and you have to go in and reconnect.
With our mobiles you have to sometimes, turn modem off and then back on and it works.
I think a new modem is definitely needed lol
