PSD 2013?

GWS will take Lamb. Do any other clubs still have primary list vacancies and will take PSD picks? Clubs can still delist to make room?

This draft seems redundant with the DFA but I guess the AFL wants to keep all avenues open to keep the AFLPA happy.

Get rid of it IMO. We no longer need it with delisted free agency and the ability for players to nominate for the national draft. Make them use the national draft and be forced to use a draft pick that reflects the players actual value.

based on passed selections the psd order is:

GWS - Jed Lamb
Sydney -
Carlton -

How many are gonna get used though? last year there was 8 selections, 3 were blokes redrafted to their original clubs, two were senior listed guys going to different clubs (Thornton and Tippett) and only 3 'draft age' guys were picked.
Last year the Swans, Tigers and Blues opted for less senior listed guys and more rookie picks, and if they do that again the PSD will be only GWS picks, who could potentially then also pass on one or two of those picks.
Moral of the story, yes, the PSD is pointless, AFL might as well implement undrafted free-agency

Article on the Swans website suggests they won't be participating in the PSD.
