One of the recurring themes of BF seems to be the disturbing (and increasing) numbers of posters who appear to show signs of bordeline personality disorder.
Civility and respect increasingly seem to be going by the wayside in favour of feral abuse, rage and aggression.
Seems you can't post an opinion around here these days without someone jumping down your throat and showering invective on you. It's the virtual equivalent of being king hit from behind.
Maybe it's the nature of the medium - it's easy to be an **************** when you're annonymous and not confronting people face to face - only problem is it reeks of immaturity, cowardice and insecurity - same as the real world.
Call me naive, but I still cling to the notion that everyone has the right to their own opinion, regardless of how stupid, pointless and misinformed it might appear. Attacking someone for it only makes this place end up looking like the Balkans on a bad day - a never ending cycle of attack and counterattack.
Of course, I also like to think that posters should consider their views carefully before putting fingers to keyboard - you're a lot less likely to come across as a **************** that way.
Anyhow, soapbox away.
Merry Christmas
