I'm pushing for a much more efficent carlton board just to show the other boards just how good we are. If i was elected in the virtual board not only would i contribute to actual club matters but also forum matters. I know this seems a bit pushy but i would like to be a moderator on this board. About 95% of my bigfooty time are spent on these forums. I am opinionated, experience moderating other forums i just don't think these forums are as good as they can be. Every second thread is a thorton one or a gibbs one. To get a more convenient and easier way to post is to have 1 thread for each topic.
A better Carlton board = a better way to post/opinionate/find out information etc...

so to summarise if elected i would
- clean up the board
-1 thread for each topic
- stay on topic in each post
- some competitions to win avatars or something worth while.

Honestly fellas i think we can be the first to have an original forum template. Unite as one bluebaggers!

Moderators, members, thoughts, actions, anything?

and i know you prob think his only been on the forum for 3 months now but ive been modding on others for a few years and think i am good enough to do it here

We have 3 moderators. More than enough for a board of this size. You can also go overboard merging threads into one and confusing people too much. I don't think our traffic that high that we need to be merging constantly.

True but i think the one thread per topic is a decent suggestion as to get your point across you would need to post in like 120 posts, just to say you like the fact thorton resigned

Slight exageration. I can see the point of keeping things neat, a lot of forums do it. Plenty of them get complaints because there are subtle differences between threads that are merged.

I've had one quasi-complaint is 5 years about the need to merge threads ... this one.

If the board at large wants all threads merged into tidy topics, we will do it no problems. Not going to change for the sake of change, especially when we are currently experiencing record traffic for this board.

maybye the whole merging into different folders is a bit much but when a piece of news is introduced into the public by nights end the board usually has 3-5 topics about it. I think this should be put to just one just easy for everyone to get there opinion out to a larger audience and receive other members feedbacks
