PVC heartbeats: Who gets them?

They are either a skipped beat or 2 quick beats in succession, and at times they can bloody uncomfortable. About once every 6 months, Ill get 3-4 ones quickly in a row then my heart will race for 5 seconds. They make me jump out of my seat but all will be normal after a few seconds.

I may get 1-5 a day. Sometimes none. But Ive been reading of people getting a few hundred a day. I dont know how they could live like that

Yeah I get them every now and again. Used to be really uncomfortable and kinda worrying but I have got used to them now have been tested so I know there is nothing seriously wrong

I usually just get a slight mis timed heartbeat especially when I would exert alot of energy in a burst (eg, massive swing of a cricket bat) then it will just race really hard for around a minute or two. Quite funny to watch because you could visibly see the heart beating really quick. Used to scare the shit out of me when it first started happening.

And what tests did you get done?

I went and saw a heart specialist just to make sure and he got me to do an ECG (?) test which involved running on a treadmill hooked up to a monitor with those little sticky dots. The test got harder and harder until I had to stop. He noticed a little mis timed heartbeat but said it was nothing to be worried about.

Get them fairly often (once a day) but just doesnt worry me anymore.

I was reading up, and we must get them fairly mildly. It reduces the life quality of some people as they'll get hundreds a day. They make many people very edgy, which of course gives them more PVCs. Vicious cylce

Yeah having hundreds a day would be insanely frustrating and must stress your heart out alot. If you are worried about them them I would suggest going to your local GP, better to be safe than sorry as they say
