Hey,

Anyone know how to get my saved videos on the PVR to my PC? And if I get it on the PC can it be edited in Windows Movie Maker?

I can do this with my Topfield - save files onto USB drive, transfer to PC and then play or edit with MPEG Streamclip (which is free). I don't usually have a need to do this, though.

Get your model number from the box or instructions then do a Google search for info.

You would need to know what format the files are and if you don't have a network connection or USB out you could take the Hard drive out of the box and either put it in your pc or put it in a case that can connect to your pc via USB cable. From there you can copy the files and edit, usually most files can be changed to .mpg and work that way.

Can this be done with Foxtel iQ?
Only by recording to a HDD or DVD recorder. It is not possible to transfer the recordings.

It might tbe possible to extract the recordings by opening up the IQ but it contravenes the terms of service. I'm not sure if I've actually heard of anyone who has successfully done this.

if you have some computer skill you could pop open the pvr and take the hard drive out and put it in your computer. some pvr's you can see the hdd from the outside of the case through the vents so it shouldnt be to hard to locate
