Just a question Starz

Where do you rate Ouija Board?
Do you think she would have beaten Phar Lap?

Where would i rate Ouija Board on my top 10 scale?
Somewhere around the 70's mark, give or take.

WHY?

Only because the Time form ratings have her as the best mare in the last 10 years and about 8 lengths better than Makybe Diva. Her run (2nd) in the Japan cup alone was 5 lengths better than any win that the Diva had.

Like I’ve said before about timeform I don‘t rate them. Look at their top 100 Aus racehorses.. Enough said.
It’s just an opinion with a title, ultimately some old mug(s) is behind it.
The reality is they were in different races, pace, track ratings, tracks, conditions. No doubt i could find 100 things to skew it around the other way if i wanted. I quite like Ouija Board and seen a few of her races, but wouldn't hold a candle to the Diva.

It would be interesting if you took Oiuja Board off ‘fast’ tracks and put her on a Flemington ‘good 3’ let-alone a ‘dead’ track, it would be a 10+ length margin the other way.
I’m guessing timeform is from Europe or UK?
I wonder where the person behind it would rate his European horse then. I’m sure he’d find a way to skew it around. Were they looking at the times of 2004 in the driving rain? 2005 in 30+ degrees carrying top weight, regardless they wouldn’t rate aus racing or horses in general.
Dreamers, not in the same league.

From the little i've seen of timeform i wouldn't give it the time of day.
The same way i treat a lot of other 'ratings' sites from all sports.
My judgement is superior to some old mug doing it, titles behind them count for nothing.

If you take it as bible, good for you.

No doubt given that UK tracks are reknowned for being far harder (and faster) than Australian tracks.

I would like to no what timeform rating past winners of the Melb Cup had. Vintage Crop, Media Puzzle and them jap nags. Be interested if they were rated high by timeform, and if anyone can get that info , what about Grey Swallow do they rate him.

well put
some people have no clue, starz is leading that pack.

a fast track in the UK is at best here a good 3, most of the time a good track there is a dead 4.

We were talking about the Japan Cup run mugs, based on an opinion about his horse, if he even said that, (doubtful) but who cares.

It was on a fast track over 2400 ffs.

Shows once again you both have nfi.
This is getting really old and really lame, stop wasting my time, follow someone else around.

For starters no one was talking about the Japan Cup.

Second I think going by the crap you write we all know you have no idea and never will
