howcome all gay people have that voice that they use. Do they automatically acquire that voice when they chose to be gay? How come there is no macho sounding homosexuals? from drew
 
One of my best male friends became gay in 2003, since he got a boyfriend his voice has turned into that voice most gay men have..it's just weird as he is only 16, i asked him about it and he told me it just came to him..it's all very random.
 
The question may not have been voiced well, but you find that alot of the men do speak like that. I have no idea why, you can basically pick out some of these flamers from a mile away. Perhaps its kinda like when a person goes to england for a year and comes back with the accent?

Nup. But I'm not sure why some do it why others don't. I've met plenty of gay guys who sound normal and ridicule fairies for their voice and believe it's put on.

I'm not convinced it's completely put on. Sure they don't have to do it but I think that's what feels right to them.
