What the hell is going on?

The seeds for the West are..

#1 Seed - Sacramento
#2 Seed - San Antonio
#3 Seed - LA Lakers
#4 Seed - Dallas

Then why in gods name do the Lakers have home court advantage over the Spurs? I dont get it.

Because the Lakers had a better win/loss record during the regular season. The second seed goes to the best team from the other Division and not necessarily the second best team in the Conference. Home court advantage on the otherhand is based on the winning percentage during the regular season.

And I thought you were the Basketball Guru. I was actually going to ask you a question, but I don't think you're knowledgable enough to answer it.:D

I already know that  ....but there regular season records were the same and i thought, although i havent checked that there season series was tied at 2-2. So why do the Lakers get home court advantage? I should have stressed these points in my original post.

I do know these things Devo...unless the Lakers actually won there season series then i dont get it. You should know if the Lakers won the season series.

Lakers have won 8 of the last 9 matches against San Antonio, so I'm sticking my neck out and saying they won the series 3-1.

Ahh ok....they won the season series. That would give them home court advantage. Thats IF they won the home court advantage. Must find out if they did or not.

Yes, they won the regular season series 3-1.

Spurs only victory was an 18 point win late in the season.
