Hi all,

Don't follow the AFL as closely these days as I once did.

Just have a question, how big a loss is Kent Kingsley and his likely young replacement Gardiner what is he like?

Cheers
Craig

the answer to the first part of your question is that he is not much of a loss at all for the simple reason that he can not kick. some forwards can get away with it but with the limited chances kent has his inability to covert really hurts us.

charlie has come on leaps and bounds and is the obvious inclusion. couldn't see him snagging 7.1, as per kent earlier in the year against the dons (of which we will never see happen again), but they are different players. one of their differences is that charlie tends to kick goals rather than points. another forward who I think is in the midst is andrew mackie although I think the others on this board are against me. we'll wait and see tonight I guess.

Gardiner has been solid when he has played, nothing spectacular. I like young Mackie but i doubt they will give him a game in such an important match. didn't kent kick 7.0 not 7.1?

Charlie will probably replace KK,but not at full forward.Haynes will probably spend time at FF and Charlie on the half forward line.

yeah not real sure sticky. guess it hardly really matters. he wore his kicking boots that night anyway - put it that way.

They were scarlett's boots, and he did kick 7.0, the previous week a nine commentator said he never kicks 4.1 etc. I hope he swaps boots next year.

lol, thats right they were scarletts boots! obviously they don't help scarlett to much as can anyone remember when he got that 50 metres at the dome (can't remember who it was against) and he kicked into the man on the mark? it ********ed me off as i love to see the full back kick a goal!

scarlett has kicked 3-3 this year. Goals against Stkilda (rd1) Carlton (rd 17) Stkilda (rd18). And the 55m torp after the siren, was disallowed because the ump said the ball didnt travel 15m when he marked it.

Thanks Guys! I appreciate the input.

Defence wins titles, people forget that and focus on the glamour of the attack.
Look at the Lions points conceded the last few years it is superb.
