I'm not exactly sure what the capacity of subi is, but apparently it is around 43 - 44k (correct me if i'm wrong)
And apparently opposition supporters are allocated around 3000 tix. (correct me if i'm wrong)
And Fremantle now have 42,000 members and is still climbing. How can we continue to sign up members???
So basically it doesn't add up. If someone has the official figures of the capacity of subi and also the number of tix allocated to opposition teams, this would help clear it up.
Your help is appreciated.

Can't be bothered doing the numbers but it comes down to different levels of membership. Not all members will have paid to have seats for the season e.g. country, international etc

Gotta respect those who are still willing to fork out hard earned without getting to see the games.

40,000 seated members so I guess the other 2,000 must be country, interstate, junior members etc.

The capacity is about 43.5k currently, they squeezed in a few hundred more seats.

And apparantly the club also has a couple of thousand general admission members with no reserved seat, and consequently no entry rights to Subi. These sort of memberships are what the Victorian clubs flog off in their thousands and get entry to every one of their games, but because Subi is 100% reserved seats, a general admission membership doesn't get you apst the gate. Gets you all the other things though (badge and all that crap, finals ticket rights, etc).

Geelong is probably the closest comparison - their membership was well in excess of their grounds capacity last year.

Quite a few interstate members who obviously don't take up seats like myself, nearly the same cost and we only get entry to 5 games in VIC this year but it wouldn't even cross my mind to not buy a membership. Also, I got VIC cheer squad membership this year for a bit extra dosh and I get higher priority for finals and the GF tickets. Hopefully the extra money ends up being completely worth it in September!

:)
