I always thought that Doughty and Bode had this sort of game in them. Although Doughty's increased intensity at the contest has been surprising. The big improvers for me have been Massie and especially S Stevens. I had written off both of their careers at the AFC. Humble pie has never tasted so good.

Half the list :D :p

But Springy is cool though. Last year it was, "Massie will be gone at the end of 2006". This year those goal posts have moved for a year or two :p

Probably the same number of players as the majority on this board post the 2004 season ie Shirley, Bode, Doughty, Massie, S Stevens, Perrie, Bock, Biglands.

No ego trip from this keyboard, i'm happy to be proven wrong. :thumbsu:

Even though he is widely recognised as a star, I love the way Ben "The Truck" Rutten goes about his footy. He is a quiet achiever but definitely one of the team's best, if that makes sense.

For mine, it has to be the way Kris Massie has turned around his career. A fantastic effort by the lad.

Totally agree. Massie the biggest improver and most consistent from those named above, just shading Doughty.

Does quiet achiever mean someone who has gone un-noticed ???

If so - Maybe Shirley - has been doing his job each week with no real fanfare

Yeah that's right. Plus quiet lad you never hear a word.
Well I don't.
