im stuck between 2 options
currently i have 10 grand spare with hill on field and grimes and broughton on bench
option 1: grimes for petrenko/suban and raines for gilbert
option 2: raines for petterd
i'll probably go with option 2
option 3: Raines for suban/petrenko. Play suban/petrenko for a week and then play grimes thereafter.
I think that'd be common sense if you already have a replacement on the bench who will be an adequate replacement in a week or two.
Be ridiculous to use 2 trades

Cheney looks as though he could play most of the season when you think melbourne havnt got a lot of options down back as well as the fact the ball will be in Melbournes backline most of the time this year so he could be a great cash cow.He played well today but he has also starred in Melbournes practise matches pre season too so its not as if he has strung 1 good match together so he is definately worth consideringJust because some rookies like Cheney and Hurley had good weeks does not mean that they will maintain their form. I'd hold off trading until at least round 3 so you still beat the price rise but get a better indication of their scoring abilities.
I am definitely gettin rid of Raines before round 2 starts, as my reserves are Petrenko and Suckling, and would prefer to downgrade Raines to a player like Petterd, Cheney, or find the money to upgrade to Gilbert (though i already gave fisher and goddard in defence) or Houlihan.
Whats everyone's opinion? Petterd or Cheney???
No one. I have Suban on the bench, I'll just put him on till Raines is back.
That way I may not have to trade out Raines.

. Will be closely watching Cheney as he did play all NAB games and avg 60.3
. If he comes out and puts together another big score he could be my man before he plays game 3. I will bank the $185,700 change from Raines and put it towards my Gilbee upgrade later on
