Ralf may be dumped from Williams

Rumours surfacing that Ralf Schumacher, already ridiculously overpaid, is demanding an $8M pay rise ontop of his $20M annual contract.

Ralf has been quoted as saying "My goal for 2005 is to have a better contract than the current one," and, "I am happy with the BMW Williams F1 team, however there are other strong teams too."

Frank Williams is supposedly getting fed up with Ralf's demands (after-all he hasn't achieved all that much) and is ready to dump him at the end of the 2004 season. Ralf's manager has suggested Toyota as a possible interested party.

I would love to see both Button & Webber driving for Williams in 2005! (however unlikely)

Although Ralf is my favourite driver, he hasnt delivered and is no position to demand a payrise, considering he is already on a handsome salary. He must think his surname can up his asking price. I hope he doesnt get dumped from Williams, as he has been pivotal in their resurgance of late, we have already lost JPM, we dont need to new drivers to the team in 2005, that would only do more harm than good.

To be honest I highly doubt Ralf will be dumped, however if he is it will be his own doing.

He must have some ego on him to be demanding a pay rise that big. He is already one of the most highly paid drivers on the grid.

There's a rumour Ralf will join Montoya in McLaren in 2005, but I think thats just been fueled by his departure from Williams due to money. And I don't think Ron would drop Kimi just yet.

I think Willi Weber (the Schumachers' manager) gets Ralf into a lot of **** at times, Ralf wanting more money etc.

I think Weber may be hinting that Ralf could replace Rubens Barrichello in 05 and don the red overalls. I would MUCH rather that to happen than Massa or Fisichella (are those 2 even good enough? especially Massa?). Besides, who wouldn't love to see Ralf and Michael pair up?

When Ralf was saying 'there are other fast cars out there' do you really think he meant Toyota?

That would leave the 2 spare spots at williams which Webber and Button could duly fill

Anyway i think the 1st bit is a very plausible scenario.
