He has been the next big thing for a few seasons now but is yet to really establish himself as one of the premier players......do u think he is ready to take the next step in 2003 or do u think he has reached his potential

I have another question about him:

Do his fellow team mates really hate him as much as all the rumours suggest?

A friend who worked in the football dept there said a lot of the older players thought he was a little bit full of himself. True?

Wouldn't surprise me. I heard Mark Harvey say that Ramanaskas said to him "I am going to finish my career with more premiership medals than you". Harvey mentioned it in the context that it's good that a young guy has so much confidence and ambition, but it sounds like a wan.ky thing to say IMO.

I think Rama has more to give this season, I don't think 2002 was a stellar season from his point of view. However, I think he was wasted trying to play half back flank for much of last year, where he lacks the physical bulk to dominate an opponent. Given an injury free 2003 and playing wing/midfield, Rama should be one of our best.

Absolutely agree with that. He was wasted across half back, but without Solly last year, that's where he had to play to let MJ go into the middle.

He has one (if not the best) left foot pin point passes in the league, so I'd like to see a bit more of "Hille palms the ball down to Ramanauskas, who roosts the ball forward into the outstretched hands of Lloyd who marks 35m out"

He can, and will, be a super player for the Bombers in 2003, baring injury of course!.

Ramanauskas DID finish 3rd in the Chricton Medal remember! Not bad for a guy that was playing out of position. His vote getting tells you that the match committee thought he was doing his job week in, week out. Adam had to play back out of necessity more than anything else. He did his job, and did it well IMHO. BUT this is NOT his position. Last season, Rama was unable to much damage coming forward. He is a player that can bring others into the game, and it a potential playmaker/leader.

Play Rama in the midfield ... and he'll give you a premiership. Winning a Brownlow whilst he is at it.

The boy is silk ... pure silk!!
