Player sponsorship is designed for businesses who want to support the club. They pay a certain amount (usually around $2000-$3000) and this nets them certain things. For example, Port Adelaide player sponsorship a power guernsey signed by your player, a framed photograph of your player, two player sponsor scarves, pins, etc, invitations to a lot of corporate events and whatnot.

This is what various clubs boards on Bigfooty do. A group of, say, 20-30 (or more) people on the board will pay roughly $100-$150 each and then people in the group get to attend functions, receive signed guernseys, etc, etc. And best of all, they get a little badge under their avatar and username.
