They most definitely can. I'm being trusted with lots of parts! The cake is going to be allllllll my design (gonna have some fun with that!).
I'm pretty impartial to most things that have been chosen except the celebrant I put my foot down on that one...

Got a magician he will do some magic stuff during the ceremony haha

Hopefully not too magic that he makes the missus disappear!

I enjoy being involved in most things to be honest, its pretty fun. We liked the first photographers we went to, and same with the celebrant. Been pretty lucky so far.

Dudes talking about weddings is super cute. Hope all goes well for you both :)

Currently helping my brother to plan his wedding. I'd like boy perspectives on something if possible happydude and Sublime - he is adament that he doesn't want to wear a tie and his fiance is not happy. They're getting married at the State Library and having the reception in the No35 Restaurant-so two pretty fancy locations. My bro wants to wear a suit jacket, vest, shirt and suit pants but go open necked and it's causing a huge fight. His fiance says that it's not formal enough for the style of wedding they're having.

Thoughts?

I'm actually a fan of suiting up and own 4 with quite a few ties... Even suited up for a few port Melbourne games...

So I think he is crazy a nice black tie is a must IMO

We went with Close Photography.

Liked their work on their website, were a lovely young couple and a bonus is that they both photograph on the day and we get to keep every photo they take and do with it what we please. Can never go wrong with 2 angles either!

Pick the right Photographer. That's the one thing you want to get right.
Found out yesterday that my cousin is engaged. Bloke seems much better than the partners that her siblings have chosen,
Nah we'd already done our background research. Knew they did some nice work, but being personable is very important to us as well, we want it to be fun and relaxed.

My honest thoughts are that this is something they should have taken into account before making all these plans for the fancy wedding. If he was so adamant about wanting it to be more relaxed then the venues and everything should reflect that. Shouldn't have got to this point where they've got the fancy wedding all booked in and then get to a standoff like this.

Going for a vest without a tie or bowtie is an odd choice to begin with though. Wouldn't look right.

He's got himself this far so he has to suck it up and wear a tie IMO. Just tell him that once the formals are over he can hit the D-Floor and put his tie around his head and pretend he's a ninja turtle. Fair compromise.

You make some good points. He wore a vest with no tie to his engagement party and he actually looked pretty good. His argument is that his fiance gets to wear whatever she wants so why should he be made to feel uncomfortable? I can see both sides so it's a bit of a pickle.

We went with remmi (I think that's how it's spelled) photography from traralgon. She does good work letting us keep the photos like you and isn't charging us travel even though the venue is out Lilydale way

My best man wanted to wear a vest and bow tie.

We told him he can to the reception but for the ceremony he has to have the jacket and normal tie. No issue for us he was fine with whatever we wanted.

Even if your bro just has the tie for the ceremony.

Yeah but is she going to rock up in a nice wedding dress, but wear leggings underneath because she feels more comfortable? He shouldn't have signed up to a black tie style wedding if he didn't want to wear a tie!

REMY i think? We saw them somewhere but never got to meet with them. Bride2Be are the most popular one round here. Did my mates wedding a couple of weeks ago that i was a groomsman for and the pics were really good. Its good to have someone flexible and willing to travel, especially that distance. We're 45 mins away in Maffra and that's no problem for us too.

I'll be like that too. Wear what you have to for ceremony and photos, then they can streak through the quad to the gymnasium for all i care!

so far leaning towards this
you need to understand up until recently she had purple bits in her hair... and has a reputation of being angry and violent to our friends... they seem to be scared of her...
Fantastic choice from an awesome band! Didn't wanna pick Track 14 from that album instead? :p
