There are some very nice beer gardens/watering holes near the water.

Nah fishing wins. We make it a competition as well so there's alot of rubbing it in when you do land one.

We also use really light rated gear so the fish have a chance to get away and makes it more of a fight to bring them in. I go to a quiet spot in traralgon that's just got carp but it's good by myself to just unwind the world turns a little slower

For me it wasn't the actual act of fishing, I don't think, because I didn't catch anything. I think it was just giving myself the opportunity to stop and do nothing for a few hours. I work two jobs, volunteer for MS Society and study, so it's not often that I give myself a day to just hang out. It felt amazing.

Ok peeps I need some advice!

Do I stay in my current job where I know the business and love 95% of the people, including the hotel manager who is amazing, OR do I pursue an opportunity that has come up to go and live and work on hayman island?

Depends on so many factors that only you can answer.

Con's: Moving away from friends and family.
No weekly Carlton fix in winter.

Unknown: Pay differences??
Job enjoyment at Hayman??

Pro's: Its god damn Hayman Island
Weather & Location

Probably more but don't wanna make it sound too complicated.

Ughhh I just want someone to decide for me! I've been doing pros and cons too...

Cons: no friends and family, no Carlton, no rugby, I love Melbourne a lot, I'd be on a tiny island, I'd be working longer hours due to living at my workplace

Pros: more money, accommodation and food costs minimal ($70 a week for a hotel suite and all meals included), no bills, it's Hayman Island, probably heaps of babes

If you helpful darlings have more pros and cons please share! I need help!
