He works with my best friend, they're good mates. It was either be buds with him or be a rude bitch every time there was a function.
Ha ha, I would have chosen the latter.

But his fiance is so nice, we really get along. I know it sounds weird, but he's the only one of my exes that I can be friends with.

Every dude I've ever dated has cheated on me, so it's not easy for me to stay buddies with them!
Not sure how to ask this but as everyone you have ever dated cheats on you do you think you might need to reassess your criteria here MEB. Surely it cant be everyone ?

I know! This is my issue, I pick the wrong dudes.

High school sweetheart, together two years-cheated on me while we were at schoolies...together. Awkward.
Next dude was the one who dumped me via text.
Then there was babe I was with for about a year-he was in a band and had the sexiest voice I ever heard, but he was also unemployed and an arseh*le.
Finally, my last boyfriend. Who I was with for over three years, thought I was going to marry...until I found out he'd been cheating on me for over 6 months. Ouch.

I stand corrected, everyone of the boyfriends cheated on you.

Do you think they maybe cheaters at the outset (have a suspicion ) but think you'll be able to change them? Not really sure what the best way would be to break the cycle here.

Well, my theory is that I attract boys who don't have a lot of other love in their lives- they've all been from broken homes, haven't had a stable childhood etc. and I think that I always love them more than they love me.

As others have mentioned you need to be looking at other places to find these guys, perhaps somewhere professional single types might hang out rather than clubs and pubs. I suspect on-line dating may be worth a shot as I have known a few folks at work who have found partners (and in some cases spouses) this way, surprised me a little but probably a little more popular these days.

Can't do it. Too scared of murderers.

One was high school, one was work, one was through a friend and one...well one was at the Espy
Never a good move!
I was his boss...I transferred him to another restaurant as soon as we started dating.
Agreed.
Work relationships are the ones you just have to stay away from.
As someone who met his wife at work (HR girls are always hot ;)) I would have to disagree with the avoid work relationships sentiment.

Admittedly it was a fairly large office (around 500 people) and we never worked together in the same workgroup/area so possibly not really the type of work relationship being referred to by posters here.
