I heard BG1983 was cited by the MRP at the last wedding , possible reckless and intentional contact in the bouquet marking contest. :p :D

The custom of the bride throwing her bouquet was originally performed by the bride throwing one of her shoes over her shoulder. The bouquet formed part of the wreaths and garlands worn by both the bride and groom. It was considered a symbol of happiness. Today the practice of tossing the bouquet is an offshoot of throwing shoes. The single woman who catches the bouquet is believed to be the next to marry.

I knew it meant you're the next to get married, but I'm pretty shy in those situations! Can't do it. I hide behind other people if at all possible.

I had a boyfriend both times I caught the bouquet. Maybe that's my problem lol

Not unusual for people to meet their future spouse at a wedding, I recall a couple over the years.
